Dr. Kelly Anne Lopez
Kelly Anne Lopez, MD
Kelly Anne Lopez, MD is a board-certified family medicine physician with a passion for education, culturally competent care, women’s health, procedures, behavioral health, weight management, and combat sports medicine. Dr. Lopez serves as a ringside physician for professional and amateur boxing, mixed martial arts, and wrestling through the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission. Dr. Lopez welcomes all patients and has a special interest in women’s health and pregnancy planning/contraception, long term obesity management, hypertension, complicated diabetes, management of common arthritic conditions plaguing our aging population, and skin disorders in patients of diverse backgrounds. Dr. Lopez is fluent in English and Spanish and proficient in French.

Dr. Lopez served as core faculty for the Jefferson Northeast Family Medicine and combined Family and Emergency Medicine programs prior to joining Merakey Total Health. She also served as Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. She earned her MD from Jefferson Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, where she was a member of the HAH medical honor society and served on the national board for the Latino Medical Student Association. Dr. Lopez completed her residency training at Thomas Jefferson University’s Family and Community Medicine residency program. Dr. Lopez was a two-time recipient of the Attending of the Year award for her role in resident education. Additionally, she was a top-ten finalist for the 2021 National Women in White Coats Heroes Award.
Rahman Carll

Rahman Carll, DNP, CRNP, AGNP-BC
Rahman Carll is a Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in patient care, both as an emergency room RN and now as a Nurse Practitioner. A true patient advocate, his patient centered approach to primary care medicine has made him a key member of the Merakey Total Health team. Rahman is a dynamic Nurse Practitioner with a passion for education and adult health. With a background in gerontology care, adult health and community health for men, Rahman brings 13 years of dedicated experience in the healthcare field. Throughout his career, Rahman has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to providing evidence-based care to all and to foster a holistic care framework. Rahman holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Aspen University as well as four undergraduate degrees and three graduate degrees, not to mention several awards and accolades: Two-time designation as Magna Cum Laude and Presidential Honors. Rahman proclaims and affirms this premise: “Healthcare is not a privilege; it is a right.” He is motivated to be an essential advocate in providing high quality care for the community. Rahman welcomes all patients and populations.

Alysia Sheaffer, CRNP

Alysia Sheaffer, CRNP
Alysia Sheaffer is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over ten years of comprehensive experience providing holistic care and chronic disease management to a diverse set of patients. Alysia’s dedication to working with under-resourced populations, broad knowledge of social determinants of health, and commitment to her patients makes Alysia is an essential member of the Merakey Total Health care team. With considerable experience in women’s health care, Alysia offers sensitive, inclusive care for all populations. Alysia has her Master of Science in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University. Alysia works with patients of all ages and welcomes all communities.
